The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Alexander was completed as a joint venture between Big-D Construction and LF Driscoll. The high-rise residential tower is a new, 32-story building with 264 market-rate apartments and 13 townhouses, 12,000-sf of street-level retail and a three level below-grade parking structure, the lower two levels of which were excavated through solid rock. The Alexander complements the Georgian and Federal architecture present in its neighborhood. The first four floors feature hand-laid buff colored brick, with brick-inlaid precast panels completing the remainder of the building. This application required significant structural, façade, and MEP system coordination, a process that was aided by virtual design. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, clubroom, demonstration kitchen, rooftop observation deck, private balconies, business center and landscaped courtyard featuring historic-style street lamps, brick and blue stone. Terraces throughout the building include green roofs and the bio basins at the motor court are landscaped. Craftsmanship was key on this luxury apartment rental, with special attention to detail above and beyond a typical Class A apartment building.

Big-D Construction is working to resurrect a housing development in the community of Sandy, Utah. For years, construction on the second phase of The Hills at Sandy Station remained on indefinite hold. Those living near the project were reminded of the delay with the sights of unfinished foundations and apartment buildings. Weidner Apartment Homes then acquired the site and brought Big-D Construction in to finish the project.
