The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. Today, Big-D Ogden serves as both the northern Utah regional office and the homebase of our Big-D National Food &amp; Beverage division. Big-D Construction was the CM/GC contractor for multiple projects at Thanksgiving Park, a Class A, multi-tenant office complex. Buildings 2 and 3 are nearly identical, five-story, high-end office buildings sited on 7-acre sites. The core-and-shell finished interior areas include varying size tenant spaces, lobbies with electronic kiosks, fitness center, restrooms, corridors and stairwells, and elevators. Both buildings feature vaulted ceilings and high-end finishes like granite wainscot, granite base boards, mahogany wall panels, decorative patterned granite floor tiles, and faux Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete columns.

The buildings are LEED Silver certified, featuring high-efficiency lighting and HVAC system equipment, underground detention ponds which collect water for landscaping, showers and exercise facilities that promote alternative transportation, white roofs that reduce cooling costs, and large windows that bring in natural light and showcase spectacular views.

Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is a world-leading real estate firm that buys, builds, occupies, and invests in commercial, industrial, retail, residential, and hotel real estate. With a focus on sustainability and giving back to the community, JLL has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies every year from 2008 to 2020. In 2019, JLL commissioned Big-D to construct a software development office relocation for Microsoft in Lehi, UT.
