The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. Salt Lake Crossing is a five-story, 300-unit residential complex featuring modern luxury apartments atop a two-story parking garage. The developer’s goal was to offer a unique blend of community, luxury, and flexibility in a downtown urban setting. Constructed using a combination of conventional wood frame, concrete, and masonry materials, Salt Lake Crossing includes a mix of studio and &#8220;micro&#8221; one-bedroom units, each boasting high-end finishes that are unique to this region. Construction of resident amenities included a fitness center with yoga and spin studio, on-site coffee shop, rooftop spa pool, social and coworking spaces, private dog park, and a shared workspace. The project scope also included all associated sitework, utility coordination, and landscaping.

Post District project is a transformative urban redevelopment in downtown Salt Lake City, revitalizing a once-abandoned industrial area. Big-D Construction built four mid-rise residential buildings and a two-story retail space, now home to Sunday’s Best restaurant.
Spanning over 750,000 square feet, this mixed-use development is one of the largest in the area. It includes residential buildings — The Register, 801 Flats, Post House North, and South — offering 580 units across various rental categories. Amenities feature a fitness center, club room, rooftop decks, and a swimming pool. The development also includes parking garages and approximately 22,000 square feet of retail space.
Big-D self-performed all structural and architectural concrete work, delivering a visually stunning project that has rejuvenated this part of the city.
