The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. Lake Park Commerce Center is a Class A industrial business park in West Valley City, UT. Big-D was responsible for construction of both buildings 1 and 4, totaling more than 550,000-sf, under the same contract. Building 1 is 431,139-sf, has a 36-foot clear height, 52-by-50-foot column spacing, 75 dock doors, six grade-level doors, 89 trailer spaces, and 280 automobile parking stalls. Building 4 is 128,369-sf, has a 28-foot clear height, 50-by-60-foot column spacing, 26 dock doors, five grade-level doors; and a 1.3/1,000 parking ratio. Both buildings are concrete tilt-up structures with ESFR fire suppression, lighting to suit, and parking with electric car charging stations. Big-D self-performed the concrete work for the building and associated site improvements.

The RWK Legacy Logistics Center II is a new concrete tilt-up panel warehouse with a built-to-suit office and rear-loading configuration. The building features a 32-foot minimum clear height; four ground-level doors; and 43 dock-high doors equipped with dock levelers, seals, and bumpers. The warehouse utilizes large glass front entryways, as well as clerestory windows and skylights throughout to let plenty of refreshing, natural sunlight into the building. Construction included concrete and asphalt for on-site trailer parking and 273 total parking stalls.
