The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The City of Ammon Sanitation building project was for construction of a new 6,500 square foot public works support structure, primarily for the storage of City sanitation trucks. This structure is a single slope pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with numerous truck doors on the high side. The six-bay building includes a shared office with multiple workstations, storage on the main floor and mezzanine, and a utility room. This new building will aid the municipality in its mission to serve the community.

The Millcreek Community Center is a new facility that replaced several aging buildings that housed the senior center and library and combined them into a single building on an existing site. The Center includes active and passive recreational environments with carefully planned adjacencies, acoustics, and functionality to create an efficient, flexible, multipurpose complex. The recreation center includes a gymnasium, volleyball courts, a fitness room with exercise machines and free weights, group fitness room, and fully equipped locker rooms. The scope included an outdoor park with soccer fields, playgrounds, pavilions, and walking trails. The project is LEED Gold certified with numerous sustainable elements including low-flow plumbing fixtures, low SRI roof, solar panels, construction waste management, recycled and low-VOC emitting materials, and gymnasium floor panels from the original Center repurposed as an art installation throughout the new lobby.
